Responsibilities

• Assist in providing technical support and advice in metallurgical testing and analysis.
• Assist in metallurgical studies and conducting analyses.
• Prepare standard reports on metallurgical or process issues and recommend appropriate actions.
• Assist in reviewing new or enhanced metallurgical testing equipment or protocols.
• Assist in evaluating and administering contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemistry or related Engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of basic principles and methods used in metallurgical and processing analyses.
• Ability to conduct research and analyze information to draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
