Overview

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking a Frame Welder for the day shift in Los Angeles, CA. The company is North America's largest steel manufacturer, known for its innovative sustainability practices and vibrant culture that emphasizes teamwork and safety.

Responsibilities

• Weld low carbon steel with 16-7 gauges and 0.125"-0.500" wall thicknesses.
• Perform routine maintenance of the MIG welder and related equipment.
• Perform 360-degree welds.
• Position and secure parts using hoists, cranes, and hand tools.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials.
• Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating and defects.
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure for conformance.
• Complete all required paperwork at each station.
• Participate in job rotation for cross-training.
• Assist to relieve bottlenecks in manufacturing processes.
• Monitor output of quality parts through inspection and records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Uphold safety policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Must have MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and work instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand calibrations.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime.
• Preferred: 1-2 years of welding experience.
• Preferred: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must possess the ability to work with hand tools.

Additional Information

• Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States
• Pay Rate: $21.25 - $22.31 based on experience plus weekly production bonus.
