Overview

The Set Up position involves working from various technical documents to set up and assemble structural and weldment assemblies according to specified requirements. The role requires knowledge of welding technology and provides leadership to helpers.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, fit, clamp, bolt, and tack weld diversified structural and weldment assemblies.
  • Work from drawings, specifications, bills of material, and welding instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with dimensional and alignment requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to helpers.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of welding technology.
  • Experience in welding.
  • Fulfillment of ASME section IX Welding Qualifications.
