Overview

The Journeyman Pipefitter will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and operations of all pipefitting duties that encompass the installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of various plumbing systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Installing and operating high- and low-pressure piping systems and related equipment.
• Installing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, water closets, and hot water storage tanks.
• Aligning pipes, valves, fittings and joints for accurate match.
• Installing and operating relief valves, check valves, pressure regulators, and other devices to control pressure and flow.
• Figuring pressures and fixture units within a system and ensuring proper equipment.
• Installing braces and supports to control movement and vibration while allowing for expansion.
• Planning and laying out the installation, modification, and repair of piping systems.
• Laying out and installing piping, risers, and flexible branches at the proper level and incline.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

• Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm.
• Physical Requirements: Incumbent works from ladders, scaffolding, and in hard-to-reach places.
• Incumbent must be able to wear a respirator when required.
