Overview

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GTAW Welder to join their production team in Wilson, NC. This role offers an opportunity for candidates with foundational welding skills to develop an advanced career in aerospace welding within a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment according to technical drawings and WPS parameter ranges.
• Perform manual, semiautomatic, mechanized, and automatic GTAW welding operations on various thin-gauge materials.
• Inspect welds according to visual inspection and commercial quality criteria.
• Adhere to company safety and compliance standards and maintain a clean work area.
• Assist in training other welders and plan various welding operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in GTAW welding or welding fabrication.
• 1+ years of GTAW welding experience and/or welding fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Additional Information

• This is a 1st shift position with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm.
• Location: US-NC-WILSON-4200, 4200 Airport Dr, BLDG 4200.
• Overtime may be required.
