Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company that impacts millions globally by advancing agricultural productivity and reimagining vital infrastructure. The Submerged Arc Seam Welder role involves set-up and operation of welding machines to produce continuous welds on pole shafts.
Responsibilities
- Fuse metal structural components together using Submerged Arc Welding processes.
- Perform welding operations from blueprints and specifications.
- Assemble operations according to established procedures.
- Move pole shafts using an overhead crane.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an internal welding test.
- Working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters.
- Knowledge of welding properties of various metals.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Ability to calculate formulas using basic mathematics.
- Ability to recognize and solve practical problems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions.
- Ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
