Overview

Valmont is a Fortune 1000 company that impacts millions globally by advancing agricultural productivity and reimagining vital infrastructure. The Submerged Arc Seam Welder role involves set-up and operation of welding machines to produce continuous welds on pole shafts.

Responsibilities

  • Fuse metal structural components together using Submerged Arc Welding processes.
  • Perform welding operations from blueprints and specifications.
  • Assemble operations according to established procedures.
  • Move pole shafts using an overhead crane.
  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters.
  • Knowledge of welding properties of various metals.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Ability to calculate formulas using basic mathematics.
  • Ability to recognize and solve practical problems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • 1st Shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm; Mon - Thur)
  • Starting Wage $26.32/hr
