Overview

The Midsize Pole Fitter Welder position involves assembling products by tack welding small parts to pole shafts using the FCAW welding process under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Use GMAW process to tack weld components to create pole assemblies.
• Manually position shafts for assembly using a jib crane.
• Read and interpret drawings to gather necessary parts for assembly.
• Use plasma torch to cut steel and jigs for precise assembly.
• Measure distances and angles using various tools.
• Work in confined areas to assemble components accurately.
• Operate motorized grinders, buffers, and drills for assembly.
• Maintain necessary professional competencies and certifications.
• Report any training needs or safety concerns to management.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to use common manufacturing math.
• 1 year experience reading and using blueprints.
• 1 year previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment or graduation from a Technical Training Program in welding.
• Must pass FCAW weld test and maintain certification.

• Opportunity for step pay increases at 90 days, 1 year, and 2 years
