Overview

Dominion Energy is seeking a Nuclear Planner or Senior Nuclear Planner specializing in Mechanical/Welding to ensure timely scheduling and completion of work orders and preventive maintenance programs for a nuclear power station. Responsibilities

  • Prepare automated work order packages and research maintenance history.
  • Identify steps for work orders and required parts to ensure timely scheduling.
  • Create, maintain, and analyze outage/non-outage and major maintenance packages.
  • Conduct walkdowns to verify engineering documents and assess plant conditions.
  • Obtain and review vendor manuals, drawings, and procedures.
  • Determine material or service requirements and locate vendor sources.
  • Interface with technicians, supervisors, and operators to clarify issues.
  • Order materials and parts, create parts ID, and expedite parts for emergent work.
  • Provide technical expertise to less experienced planners.
  • Conduct planning meetings with various departments.

Requirements

  • Nuclear Planner: 2+ years experience in craft specialty and/or nuclear operations.
  • Senior Nuclear Planner: 5+ years directly related work experience.
  • High School diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Good negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Skilled in use of computer and scheduling software.
