Now Hiring: Welder & Fabricator

Are you a skilled Welder who takes pride in precision and can take a project from blueprint to final weldment with minimal supervision? We are seeking a dependable, flexible, and safety-minded Welder/Fabricator to join our fast-paced shop team.

What You’ll Do:

• Lay out, fit up, and fabricate metal weldments and assemblies using blueprints, specs, and shop drawings.

• Weld components using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes in compliance with WPS.

• Operate fabrication machinery (plasma, oxy-fuel, saws, mag drills, drill press) and hand tools.

• Rig and move heavy structures using forklifts and overhead cranes.

• Inspect your own work using precision measuring tools to ensure top quality.

• Collaborate with shop management and other departments to meet tight deadlines.

What You Need to Bring:

• Proven welding, fabrication, and complicated layout experience.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and apply basic math.

• Must own your own tools appropriate for structural fabrication.

• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.

• Forklift and Overhead Crane operation experience.

• Preferred: AWS Certification in Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum (all positions).

salary: $41,600 - $58,240 per year shift: First work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

The ability to weld using MIG, TIG, stick, or other welding processes.  The ability to perform structural fit up using best shop practice.  Must be able to weld per WPS  The ability to use appropriate measuring instruments for the task.  The ability to operate hand tools.  The ability to operate a variety of fabrication machines.  The ability to interface with other departments to accomplish tasks.  The ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.  The ability and maturity to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment.  Maintain a clean work area as required.  Working ability to apply all applicable safety requirements to comply with regulatory agencies. Qualifications: The qualified candidate must possess as a minimum:  Welding/fabrication/layout experience.  Must own tools appropriate to the job being performed.  Ability to use appropriate tools and equipment related to the task (plasma, oxy-fuel, saws, mag drills, drill press, etc).  Fabrication skills include complicated layouts, check & straightening capabilities.  Prefer AWS Certified Welder in Steel, Stainless, Aluminum and qualified in all positions  Should be able to use measurement equipment to inspect their own work.  Must be able to rig and move heavy structures.  Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and drawings.
