Position Title: TIG Welder Wage: $18.00-$24.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a TIG Welder for a company in Kenosha, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift. TIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Pass certification test on proper set-up and operation of all welding equipment - Correctly punch in and out on all job assignments - Utilize hand TIG welder to consistently produce quality seam and tack welds - Work from ordinary blueprints, layouts, sketches, templates, and/or instructions; operate hand TIG welder to produce high quality lightweight to heavyweight weld assemblies - Set tools, gauges, and stops and align work for close tolerance - Check work using simple scales, calipers, and/or other measuring tools to maintain quality - Assist in maintaining tools, fixtures, jigs, and equipment in a cost-effective manner - Assist in down- or upstream operations to maintain a consistent workflow throughout the process of each job - Accurately complete move ticket transactions and scrap tickets; stock and move loaded pallets to designated areas - Perform other duties as assigned TIG Welder Requirements: - Follow safety rules, safe operating procedures and practices; help ensure all employees follow safety rules, procedures, and practices - Maintain good housekeeping conditions in work areas - Active participation in ongoing individual training/development program(s) - Engage in training of employees and cross-training, perform backup functions to other department members as instructed - Set goals and objectives with Supervisor; look for ways to improve quality and productivity - Report abnormalities in machines, programs, materials, quality, and/or processes IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
