Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.
• Perform tig welding on various load path components in diverse positions.
• Utilize Tig, Mig, Stick welding techniques, and brazing on materials such as aluminum, copper, and steel.
• Prepare welding equipment by igniting torches and calibrating power supplies.
• Secure components using clamps and perform tack welding, heat bending, and grinding.
• Monitor equipment performance to identify faults or defective materials.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding machinery proficiently.
• Control the welding process to avoid material distortion and overheating.
• Conduct thorough inspections of welds and workpieces using tools like straightedges.
• Utilize a broad range of hand and power tools relevant to welding.
• Employ necessary personal protective equipment to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to welding tasks.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Preference for candidates holding industry-recognized welding certifications.
• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience and/or relevant training in welding.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to effectively set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Must successfully complete a practical welding test.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical capability to handle equipment and materials safely.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
