Overview

The Welder position involves performing welding tasks for process piping and structural components in compliance with ASME codes and standards, primarily in a chemical plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding for process piping to meet ASME codes and standards.
• Uses appropriate hand tools, power tools and other equipment to accomplish tasks as assigned.
• Performs structural welding tasks.
• Maintains piping systems and tanks.
• Assembles pipe systems as fabricated.
• Operates forklift, cherry picker and other industrial machinery as needed to complete work orders.
• Assists other crafts as needed.
• Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

• NCCER certified as an Industrial Welder.
• Minimum of three year's experience as a Welder in a chemical plant environment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
