Overview
The Packaging Mechanic Level 2 is responsible for providing mechanical, electrical, and controls support to packaging operations, ensuring efficient equipment performance in a regulated manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery in the packaging area.
- Set up production lines as instructed by daily management tracker.
- Troubleshoot and make routine adjustments and repairs to equipment and machinery.
- Disassemble machinery to determine worn or broken parts and repair or replace them.
- Check equipment and machines for proper function regarding quality, safety, and quantity.
- Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
- Clean, repair, and install equipment and parts as needed.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Manage and train Operators.
- Communicate effectively with technicians for troubleshooting or diagnosis.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on the equipment.
- Read and interpret documents such as SOP/GMP and maintenance instructions.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
- Uncrate new equipment and perform S.A.T & F.A.T on new equipment.
