Overview

The Pipefitter Laborer position at Sundt Inc. involves assisting in pipe fitting and fabrication work while maintaining safety and quality standards. Sundt is a 100% employee-owned contractor focused on building long-term prosperity for clients and employee-owners.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, lay-out, and performance of pipe fitting and fabrication work.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively.
• Provide feedback to ensure availability of materials, tools, and information.
• Look for improvement opportunities in tasks and methods.
• Learn and understand safety hazards related to the work.
• Utilize effective math skills for basic calculations.
• Safely operate work-related tools and equipment.
• Eliminate waste in various forms during work.
• Ask supervisors for clarification on work or safety issues.

Requirements

• One to two years of experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
• General understanding of pipe fitting and fabrication work.
• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
• Physical work includes climbing, lifting, and using hands frequently.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required.
