Overview

Marketech International Corp. (MIC) is a global technology and engineering company founded in 1988, specializing in semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing projects. They are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to support the installation and commissioning of process piping and utility systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, modify, and repair process piping and facility utility systems.
  • Work with piping systems for chemicals, gases, water, wastewater, and compressed air.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, fit, align, and assemble piping according to specifications.
  • Install valves, regulators, pumps, filters, fittings, and related components.
  • Prepare piping joints for various approved joining methods.
  • Install and align piping connections to equipment and tools.
  • Verify proper pipe slope, elevation, routing, and support installation.
  • Assist with installation of single-wall and double-contained piping systems.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Lay out piping routes based on approved drawings and field conditions.
  • Identify drawing discrepancies and communicate changes to supervisors.
  • Assist with pressure testing, leak testing, and commissioning of piping systems.
  • Inspect completed piping work for compliance with specifications.
  • Identify leaks and installation deficiencies and complete corrections.
  • Coordinate daily work activities with other construction trades.
  • Communicate material, equipment, and scheduling needs to project leadership.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of pipefitting or related field experience.
  • Experience installing industrial or process utility piping systems.
  • Ability to read piping drawings and construction specifications.
  • Experience measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling piping components.
  • Familiarity with valves, fittings, pumps, and mechanical equipment connections.
  • Understanding of piping installation practices and testing procedures.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime.
  • Ability to pass required project-site onboarding and safety training.
