Overview

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country, providing mobile on-site maintenance and repair services for trucks and trailers. They are currently hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform various maintenance and repair tasks at customer sites, supporting the company's growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair/replace refrigeration equipment and electrical components.
• Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck.
• Conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections of the service vehicle.
• Document work performed and findings using company-issued devices.
• Respond to call center dispatched unscheduled service requests.
• Maintain good working relationships with customers and vendors.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various trailer equipment and systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• Certified to use refrigerants R134, R404, R410 and others as needed.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.
• Must pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Must be at least 21 years or older due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations.
• Valid driver's license required.

Additional Information

• Work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday with variable hours.
• Position is dedicated on-site and does not involve emergency roadside repairs.
