Overview

The Fabricator I role involves fabricating, modifying, repairing, and installing precision metal components and assemblies in a manufacturing environment, requiring strong TIG welding skills and the ability to interpret blueprints. The position emphasizes high-quality work, safety, and independent operation.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate precision parts and assemblies from blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform TIG welding, fabrication, and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Repair manufacturing equipment as needed to support plant operations.
  • Install fabricated components and assemblies throughout the facility.
  • Perform sheet metal layout, bend allowance calculations, and operate brake and shear equipment.
  • Set up and operate cutting, forming, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to complete fabrication projects accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Support departmental KPI goals through quality workmanship and productivity.
  • Demonstrate company core values in daily work and interactions.
  • Perform additional fabrication and welding duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of TIG welding experience required.
  • Experience in industrial fabrication and equipment repair.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to safely set up and operate fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle fabrication materials as required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong TIG welding skills.
  • Proficiency with stick welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience performing layout work for fabrication projects.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, including bend allowances.
  • Ability to operate cutting, forming, braking, shearing, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Team-oriented with excellent work ethic.
