Overview

GE Vernova is committed to addressing the climate crisis by electrifying the world and helping to decarbonize it. The Welder C-Class position involves performing various welding operations and assisting with repairs and services in a full-time onsite role at the Chamblee, GA facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform all welding operations including shielded metal arc, submerged arc, plasma arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and oxygen/acetylene.
• Conduct brazing, soldering, and torch cutting operations.
• Develop and work from less complicated prints and sketches.
• Perform layouts and setups for less difficult work.
• Familiarize with base metals, filler metals, and alloy selection.
• Conduct liquid dye penetrant tests.
• Assist and work directly on more complicated jobs as needed.
• Direct and train others while performing related duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 2 years of experience in welding, machining (conventional or CNC), or technical assembly.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions.

Additional Information

• Full-time onsite position at Chamblee, GA facility.
• 1st shift schedule of Monday-Friday 6:00AM – 2:30PM ET during training.
• 2nd shift schedule of Monday-Friday 4:10PM – 1:00AM ET after training.
• Overtime available but not mandatory.
