Overview
The Rig Welder position involves securing components using electric welding techniques to create precise welds that withstand various industrial processing systems. Candidates must have open availability and a minimum of five years of field experience in welding.
Responsibilities
- Secure components together using welding techniques.
- Select appropriate equipment and plan the layout for welding.
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting or grinding.
- Set up equipment and weld parts using various welding methods.
- Repair products by dismantling and reshaping.
- Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, bevel, grind, and fit pipe to specifications.
- Identify pipe by size, type, and wall thickness.
- Install pipe hangers, supports, anchors, and guides.
- Follow company policies and safety manuals.
Requirements
- Five years minimum field experience in welding.
- Ability to identify and apply various welding techniques.
- Knowledge of metal properties and heat effects.
- Completion of certification administered by Samuel EPC.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
