Job Description

Overview

The Welder position involves performing manufacturing duties with a focus on welding operations, ensuring product quality and meeting production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations to manufacture products that meet quality requirements.
  • Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection.
  • Meet time and schedule standards for assigned tasks.
  • Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels.
  • Use TIG welder to assemble fabricated metal products efficiently.
  • Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion.
  • Advise supervision of issues that arise.
  • Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues.
  • Communicate effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
  • Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities.
  • Properly use the E2 management system to meet all company standards.
  • Assume other responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to weld thin gauge material with good penetration and quality appearance.
  • Ability to operate a TIG welder with MIG welding knowledge.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to operate various shop tools including hand tools and rolls.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents.
  • A belief in continuous improvement and willingness to analyze and change processes.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to use various inspection gauges.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
