Overview

Boeing is seeking a skilled Aircraft Technician to work in a collaborative and innovative environment focused on aircraft electrical systems and mechanical components. The role is based in Ridley Park, PA, and emphasizes safety and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, and electrical systems in airframes.
  • Install and troubleshoot auto flight, communication, navigation, and interphone equipment.
  • Conduct functional inspections of all installed systems and diagnose malfunctions.
  • Build major mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using specifications and precision measuring instruments.
  • Validate, test, maintain, and repair aircraft electrical systems and avionics-related components.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, wiring, connectors, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Fabricate and install tubing, hoses, and master tube templates for production use.
  • Perform work according to prints, specifications, and company standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with aircraft wiring and systems installation.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces or at heights.

Additional Information

  • This position could be for 1st shift or 2nd shift.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
  • Relocation assistance is not offered.
  • This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement.
