Overview
As an Assembler Level 2 at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, reworking, and repairing electrical components and modules with precision and quality. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of Honeywell Aerospace's electronic products, supporting production goals and mission-critical timelines.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, modify, rework, and repair electrical components, subassemblies, and moderately complex modules using schematic diagrams, process sheets, and technical drawings.
- Ensure every build meets exacting standards by performing rework when needed to guarantee quality and reliability.
- Verify producibility during initial assembly to ensure smooth production flow.
- Perform tasks from lower-level assembler roles and cross-train across other assembly positions to support team flexibility.
- Execute manual die-attach using epoxy and solder to place components as small as 10x10 mils while working under a microscope.
- Take on additional duties as needed to meet production goals and support mission-critical timelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience working as an electronic assembler.
- Able to interpret and work with print and parts list, process sheets/route cards and technical drawing packages.
- Able to use hand tools such as tweezers and scalpels.
- Able to work under a microscope for a minimum of 9 hours a day.
- Able to work with components which are at a minimum of 5 mil square.
- Able to use measurement tools and devices such as scales, calibrated eyepieces and calipers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
