Job Description

Overview

The Fabricator position involves performing repetitive duties while operating equipment to cut and thread pipe, make fittings, bundle pipe, and maintain cleanliness. The role requires basic knowledge of fabrication processes and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate rotary chop saw and band saw to cut pipe to length.
  • Handle movement of pipe along the length of the table and offload to a cart or crate for staging.
  • Operate Victaulic or Pace Grooving machine for grooved pipe end process.
  • Operate threader to apply thread to desired pipe.
  • Operate Mercury or Pace Make on machine to apply fitting to desired pipe.
  • Operate band saw to cut threaded rod to specified lengths.
  • Install hanger devices to specified lengths of threaded rod.
  • Operate bench grinder to apply required end to threaded rod for application of hanger devices.
  • Push pipe carts of pipe to load area for loading purposes.
  • Operate pneumatic staple gun to staple cardboard box to pallet.
  • Use forklift when necessary to retrieve materials and move pipe.
  • Operate pneumatic bander to ready pipe bundles for shipment when required.
  • Complete training curriculum including safety requirements while demonstrating competence.
  • Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as mandated for the job function.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures within the guidelines of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle additional tasks as deemed necessary by management.
