Overview
The Pipeliner Entry position at Kinder Morgan involves performing preventive maintenance and upgrading of pipeline facilities, responding to emergency repairs, and ensuring safety for personnel and the public. This entry-level role requires manual labor and the ability to work in various conditions while adhering to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform general construction duties.
- Conduct general pipeline maintenance including installing sleeves, clamps, or clock springs on pipeline anomalies.
- Assist engineering projects with pipe and equipment relocations.
- Perform hot tapping and coating repairs while monitoring atmospheric conditions.
- Manually excavate trenches or pot holes as needed.
- Operate multiple hand tools and equipment such as concrete saws and forklifts.
- Assist with line crossings and perform manual labor as required.
- Clear vegetation around company assets and paint mainline block valves.
- Manage company credit cards per policy.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work overtime with little to no notice.
- Must carry a cell phone and respond to calls in a timely manner.
- Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle license.
- Must pass a background check to obtain a TWIC card if applicable.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pipeline, construction, and general mechanical skills.
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to pass Operator Qualification (OQ) and Computer based training (CBT) requirements.

Additional Information
