Overview

The Fleet Mechanic position is a full-time role at a growing fleet maintenance and repair company serving the South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia area. The organization is dedicated to providing reliable service and maintaining strong customer relationships while supporting their experienced technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet and diesel equipment at customer locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify mechanical issues before equipment failure occurs.
  • Repair brakes, batteries, tires, fluid services, electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, and general fleet maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot medium-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, tractors, and additional fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed repairs, parts usage, and service records.
  • Communicate repair recommendations and equipment concerns directly with customers in a professional manner.
  • Prioritize repair needs to minimize downtime and maintain customer operations.
  • Represent the company professionally while working at customer and service locations.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding repairs, parts needs, scheduling, and service updates.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience required.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage service calls effectively.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • ASE certifications are a plus, but not required.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
  • Ability to travel locally throughout the South Jersey and Philadelphia area.
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing if required by customer job sites.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday - NO WEEKENDS
