Overview
The Building Mechanic role involves assisting the department in daily activities and performing various functional tasks related to property and asset management. The position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in office software to support the acquisition of property, conduct valuations, and prepare reports.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve standard incidents using regulatory and compliance processes.
- Provide guidance to senior colleagues on complex issues.
- Facilitate the acquisition of property and land for development projects.
- Extract, combine, and analyze data to generate standard and accurate reports.
- Prepare moderately complex documents using various applications.
- Conduct accurate property valuations by collecting information from standard sources.
- Prepare and analyze costings for construction, maintenance, or improvement works.
- Contribute to the development and review of business cases.
- Deliver asset management support services using asset management systems.
- Produce, update, and provide best practice support on Microsoft documents and databases.
- Develop personal capabilities through assessment and training.
- Maintain an understanding of relevant technology and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Non-Tertiary Education.
- Basic experience with simple office and operational systems.
- Limited managerial experience.
