Overview

Amentum is seeking an Industrial Building Systems Operator (BSO) team member for their client site in Pearl River, NY. The successful candidate will possess strong preventative maintenance skills and a commitment to delivering excellence in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control the Building Automation System.
• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and HVAC equipment/systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems for alarms and abnormal trends.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform required actions.
• Respond to alarm conditions and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Document environmental deviations and corrective actions.
• Perform routine building rounds and verify no emergency conditions exist.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for outside contractors.
• Coordinate with security personnel to respond to fire panel alarms.
• Respond to customer service requests on work orders.
• Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
• Follow proper safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized mechanical room.
• Provide shift coverage when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.

Requirements

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• 0-1 years of experience as a Building System Operator or HVAC maintenance mechanic.
• Ability to pass a Tuberculosis test prior to employment.
• Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use.
• Ability to obtain a security access badge.
• Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• Must agree to a background investigation including fingerprinting.
• Must attend and pass all provided training for the Select Agent Program.
• Must comply with Personnel Quarantine Policy for Avian Influenza.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and perform repetitive motions.

• Typical work schedule is 12-hour shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
