Overview

BKH is seeking an experienced Structural Steel and NDT Inspector to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, performing inspections and quality assurance activities in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural steel inspections in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Conduct nondestructive testing (NDT) utilizing approved methods and procedures.
• Set up, calibrate, verify, and maintain inspection and testing equipment.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Document inspection activities and prepare accurate technical reports.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, project managers, and owners.
• Verify compliance with project quality requirements and applicable standards.
• Maintain accurate records and inspection documentation.
• Follow all company and client safety requirements.
• Support additional inspection and quality-related activities as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience performing structural steel inspections, welding inspections, or NDT services.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• U.S. Citizenship required for access to certain client facilities and secure project locations.

• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
• Ability to work at heights exceeding 100 feet when necessary.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to travel between project sites.
