Overview

TrueNorth Steel is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for their West Fargo location. This entry-level position involves the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products under close supervision, primarily during the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards.
• Follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead.

• Learn to read blueprints.

• Maintain prompt and dependable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of welding experience preferred.
• Ability to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
• Ability to fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
• Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization, and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
• General knowledge of equipment and operations.
• Basic understanding of weld symbols.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to be truthful and credible in the workplace.
• Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
• Dependable and trustworthy.

• Night Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT as needed)
• Pay Rate: $23.50 - $26.00+ per hour (DOE)
