Overview

In this role, the welder will be expected to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate techniques and using various welding devices. The ideal candidate will bring technical know-how and an innovative mindset to the role and help drive industry-leading solutions.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, and other written instructions.
• Design and build basic and/or complex structures, supports or framework.
• Weld using GMAW and MIG processes, perform oxy/acetylene torch and plasma arc cutting processes.
• Utilize handheld tools such as screw guns, drill guns, and grinders.
• Maintain inventory of manufacturing products and welding consumables.
• Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

Requirements

• 1-3 years MIG welding experience.
• 1-3 years' experience operating in a similar capacity within a manufacturing or relatable facility.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing.
• Work in a team environment and respect all teammates.
• Specific technical or vocational training or certification preferred.
• Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Additional Information

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain.
• Frequently and repetitively lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
