Job Description

Overview

The Aluminum Welder position involves performing welding operations to produce high-quality components for cooling systems, either as part of a team on a production line or in an individual work setting. The role requires troubleshooting, maintenance, and quality control to ensure products meet specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production line welding stations and perform product assembly.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain production line welding stations.
  • Perform equipment and set-up change-overs as needed.
  • Responsible for quality control and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Reject product outside of specifications.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analysis.
  • Complete daily production logs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production line machinery.
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Assist maintenance and manufacturing engineers.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of production welding experience.
  • Demonstrated Tig and Mig welding skills.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Information

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
  • Temperature periodically exceeds 90 degrees.
  • Work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5am to 3pm.
