Overview

The MIG Welder position in Clinton, Tennessee, is a 6-month contract to hire role that involves operating MIG/GMAW equipment to weld various metals according to blueprints. The company, System One, is a leader in outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MIG/GMAW equipment to fuse steel, carbon plate, or structural metals according to technical blueprints.
  • Adjust voltage, amperage, wire feed speeds, and shielding gas flow rates for optimal weld pools.
  • Inspect completed welds for cracks, porosity, or structural flaws, and clean/maintain welding gear.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED plus 1 to 2 years of professional MIG/GMAW welding experience.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, interpret welding symbols, and pass practical position weld tests.
  • Capacity to stand for long periods, wear safety gear, and lift heavy materials up to 50–75 lbs.
