Overview
The Finish Welder position involves working in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities including welding coordination, training, and quality maintenance. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Understand and follow all safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate welder settings, gun speed/travel, and gas flow based on bead conditions.
- Read tape measures and blueprints to meet shop standards.
- Determine when adjustments or gun manipulations are necessary.
- Decide on repairs for pin holes and burn-through from an auto welder.
- Train and teach proper welding procedures according to manufacturing job procedures.
- Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment.
- Maintain specified shapes, sizes, and penetrations of beads while ensuring product quality.
- Keep numerical and alphabetical sequences correct.
- Implement continuous improvement practices in the work area.
- May be assigned additional projects and duties by the Team Leader.
Additional Information
- Base pay starts at $19.92 per hour.
- Work Schedule: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday - Friday).
