Overview
Seeking a Traveling Aluminum Welder with Isolated Phase Bus (IPB) welding experience for a direct hire opportunity with a client based in St. Cloud MN. Travel will be required up to 60%, and only candidates located in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, or Wisconsin will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality aluminum welding on Isolated Phase Bus (IPB) systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings.
- Fabricate, repair, and modify aluminum components to project specifications.
- Complete field installation, repairs, and maintenance as required.
- Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Operate welding equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and team members to complete projects on schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of aluminum welding experience required.
- Experience welding Isolated Phase Bus (IPB) systems strongly preferred.
- Field welding experience in industrial or power generation environments is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of aluminum welding processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings.
- Must be a non-union welder.
- Ability to work safely in both shop and field environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather and job site conditions.
