Overview

TMD Staffing is seeking to hire Shop Combo Welders (Pipe/Structural) for positions located on the Northwest side of Houston, TX. The role requires candidates to have significant welding experience and the ability to work both in-shop and offshore.

Responsibilities

• Weld on pipe and structure.
• Perform GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding).
• Execute SMAW (shielded metal arc welding).
• Carry out FCAW (flux-cored arc welding).
• Pass the 6G test and weld various components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Weld according to engineering specifications on process piping, equipment, and structural steel.

Requirements

• Have combo welding experience in pipe and structural.
• Must be able to pass a 6G welding test.
• Read WPS prior to welding to understand heat, speed, and electrical input.
• Willing to work offshore and able to legally travel outside of the US.
• Able to work 40-84 hours per week.
• Back welding not allowed on structural test; penetration must be clean and performed from one side only.
• Must have 5+ years of experience.
