Overview

Contech is seeking a Welder to join their Charlotte, NC plant, contributing to essential infrastructure projects such as drainage systems, pipes, bridges, and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Aligns and assembles product for welding using crane, lever hoist, chains, etc.
• Uses cutting or plasma torch to burn to precision layout.
• Adheres to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
