Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder responsible for fitting and welding steel tray racks for grocery stores in a non-climate controlled facility. The role requires reading blueprints and performing various tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Set up welding machines based on the job or using a Welding Procedure Specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
- MIG weld steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Follow Welding Procedure Specifications.
- Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
- Assemble items as instructed by the floor supervisor.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 60 pounds).
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
Requirements
- Experience with aluminum and/or stainless steel required.
- Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding required.
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required.
- Ability to identify and measure material.
- Ability to produce quality products consistently.
- Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.
- Must be reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Willing to take a weld test at the interview.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certification from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- One-year related experience and/or training is a must.
- Blueprint reading skills are preferred.

Additional Information
- Work in an industrial, non-climate controlled manufacturing plant.
- Regular hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
- This is a fully onsite position in Grand Prairie, TX.
