Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Fit and weld assemblies according to specifications.
• Plan work sequences and determine tooling and material requirements.
• Prepare materials and surfaces for welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools, including grinders, drills, and pneumatic tools.
• Monitor welding equipment and consumables to maintain efficient production.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of TIG and MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Strong blueprint reading and print interpretation skills.
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds with excellent attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to successfully complete an in-house weld test.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• AWS Welding Certification preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles preferred.
