Overview

The Utilities Master Maintenance Specialist I is a master level skilled maintenance position at the Sewerage and Water Board, responsible for performing skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks on plant equipment and facilities. The role requires expertise in trades such as Electrical, Welding, Machinist, Control Instrument Tech, and Diesel Mechanics, along with project origination and oversight of apprentices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks on plant equipment and facilities.
  • Originate projects and obtain permits for construction and installations.
  • Oversee the work of apprentices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Two years of full-time experience at the journeyman level in a relevant trade.
  • Electrician: A Class A, C, or D electrical license.
  • Machinist: Experience in manufacturing machine parts and tools, and operating a Lathe.
  • Welder: At least six months of experience in pipe welding.
  • Diesel Mechanic: Experience in stationary diesel engine repair and maintenance.
