Overview

This position is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation aimed at recruiting qualified candidates for welding roles in the Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities. The incumbent will operate welding tools and equipment to produce parts and products based on various instructions and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture or repair common metal parts, assemblies, or components of various equipment.
• Select proper tools, welding materials, heat range, and feed for different metals and thicknesses.
• Safely operate various types of welding equipment.
• Prepare areas to be welded by cleaning, fitting, chipping, grinding, cutting, and slag removal.
