Overview

The Welder will safely operate specified tools and welding equipment to produce dimensionally correct parts/products based on instructions, blueprints, sketches, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture or repair common metal parts assemblies or components of equipment, containers, structures, or facilities.
• Select proper tools, welding materials, heat range, and feed for various metals and thicknesses to ensure proper weldments, penetration, and fusion.
• Safely operate various types of welding equipment.
• Prepare areas to be welded by cleaning, fitting, chipping, grinding, cutting, and slag removal.
