Overview

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Industrial Department, Mechanical Group, Pipe Shop in Baltimore, MD. The role involves performing various pipefitting tasks and following clear-cut instructions to ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and common tasks following work orders, blueprints, bills of materials, and sketches.
• Lay out routine projects, take measurements, and make templates, jigs, and fixtures.
• Fabricate, install, modify, repair, and test piping and tubing made from various materials.
• Use a variety of equipment and tools such as power hacksaws, hydraulic pipe benders, and drilling machines.
• Complete mandatory training and other necessary training for success in the position.
