Overview

A Welder at RESA Power is responsible for assembling and repairing metal components according to customer specifications. The company is committed to providing reliable and safe power solutions across electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Repair and fabricate equipment and parts using various welding techniques as per customer expectation.
• Assist Shop with other production jobs as assigned, keeping safety, customer, and company expectations in mind.
• Conduct all work and decisions in strict compliance with regulatory laws.
• Communicate with peers and management for effective problem resolution and information transfer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Welding certificate is a plus.
• Exposure to warehouse environment and ability to stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of various safety standards such as OSHA and state safety standards.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, OSHA, IEEE, and NFPA.
• Proven mechanical skills and/or experience with different types of low and high voltage equipment.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and creating reports.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings and take measurements.
• Ability to determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Ability to set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Valid driver’s license required for positions utilizing a company vehicle.
