Overview

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a Welder for the 1st Shift to manually weld in an industrial plant environment. The company is a leading provider of innovative outdoor living products and utility infrastructure solutions across North America.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel molds for concrete using hand and power tools, welding operations, and lifting equipment.
• Fabricate steel form parts using various cutting equipment and weld parts together per specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in steel fabrication.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read fractions and a tape measure.
• Ability to read shop prints.
• Understanding of basic hand and power tools and their use.
• Capable of Arc & MIG welding both horizontal and vertical, with ability to pass certification.
• Capable of using oxy/fuel torch to cut steel.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience using industrial steel tooling such as vertical band saw, drill press, plasma cutter, grinders, etc.
• Prior use of fork trucks, rolling equipment, and overhead bridge cranes.
• Basic maintenance experience.
