The company seeks a detail-oriented Welder to fabricate structural frames and components for architectural signage, requiring the ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings and translate them into precisely welded aluminum assemblies.

- Weld aluminum square and rectangular tube framing to build sign cabinet frames and internal support structures.
- Fabricate to tight tolerances to ensure proper fit with acrylic/polycarbonate faces, aluminum backers, and mounting brackets.
- Work with thin-gauge aluminum in addition to structural tube.
- Ensure welds are clean and properly prepped for paint finish.
- Coordinate with fabrication team on internal components to ensure structural welds don't interfere with electrical or lighting integration.
- Account for material differences per engineering notes.
- Inspect finished welds/assemblies against drawing specs and quality standards before sign moves to finishing/paint.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized welding station.
- Collaborate with project managers on production timelines for multi-sign work orders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of welding experience, ideally in sign fabrication, metal fabrication, or a related precision fabrication field.
- Strong MIG/TIG welding skills on aluminum.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication spec sheets with multiple material/finish call-outs.
- Comfortable working to tight dimensional tolerances.
- Experience with thin-gauge sheet aluminum a plus.
- Understanding of paint-prep requirements for welded aluminum assemblies.
- AWS certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
