Overview

Helix Electric, one of the nation’s largest electrical contracting companies, is seeking a Welder Fabricator to join their production-driven team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience and will perform various welding and fabrication tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform all welding and fabricating duties as assigned.
• Prepare work area for installation of various equipment.
• Keep work area clean.
• Use tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Operate equipment only if trained and certified.
• Perform tasks in a professional manner.
• Secure and lock up equipment after use.
• Advise immediate supervisor of any safety or job-related problems.
• Work from all types of ladders and carry and relocate up to a 12' step ladder by oneself.
• Work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required.
• Perform other non-welding and non-fabrication duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to work in all elements depending on job location and time of year.
• Must wear personal protective equipment at all times.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job, including lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds.

Additional Information

• Job requires physical work more than 70% of the time.
• Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required.
