Overview
The Field Service Technician role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining specialized truck-mounted equipment for customers in the region. The position requires mechanical skills and the ability to work independently in various environments.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain bucket trucks and aerial devices.
- Repair digger derricks and truck-mounted cranes.
- Maintain hydraulic utility equipment and major components.
- Work on heavy- and light-duty truck chassis, diesel, and electrical systems.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site diagnostics.
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and repair orders.
- Use laptops and diagnostic software to identify issues.
- Complete documentation accurately including repair orders and inspection forms.
- Communicate with customers and CTOS teams to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing CTOS and manufacturer training.
- Travel within and occasionally beyond assigned territory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of related experience as a field or shop technician.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B preferred).
- Must provide your own mechanic tools.
- Proficiency using documentation software and managing time effectively.
