Overview

The Field Service Technician role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining specialized truck-mounted equipment for customers in the region. The position requires mechanical skills and the ability to work independently in various environments.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain bucket trucks and aerial devices.
  • Repair digger derricks and truck-mounted cranes.
  • Maintain hydraulic utility equipment and major components.
  • Work on heavy- and light-duty truck chassis, diesel, and electrical systems.
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site diagnostics.
  • Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and repair orders.
  • Use laptops and diagnostic software to identify issues.
  • Complete documentation accurately including repair orders and inspection forms.
  • Communicate with customers and CTOS teams to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing CTOS and manufacturer training.
  • Travel within and occasionally beyond assigned territory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of related experience as a field or shop technician.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL Class B preferred).
  • Must provide your own mechanic tools.
  • Proficiency using documentation software and managing time effectively.
