Overview
The Welder position requires TIG welding experience and involves working on complex assemblies in the aerospace industry. This role includes responsibilities such as setting up weld fixtures, using various tools, and maintaining safety standards while working the 2nd shift on a 9/80 schedule.
Responsibilities
- Weld complex assemblies that meet station planning and customer specifications.
- Set up weld fixtures and tooling fixtures for welding.
- Use metal finishing tools and precise measuring equipment.
- Print station planning, record throughput, and complete routers and manufacturing orders accurately.
- Maintain safety standards and complete daily/weekly 6S assignments.
- Keep the work area clean and safe to meet safety regulations.
- Assist others in the department and help in the assembly area as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in the aerospace industry.
- TIG welding experience.
- Must have welding certification or be working toward it.
- Ability to understand and follow company and customer specifications.
- Ability to operate various welding and metalworking equipment.
- Experience with welding different metal materials.
- In-depth knowledge of GTAW and other welding practices and equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow station planning.
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a challenging environment.
Additional Information
- 9/80 Schedule with every other Friday off.
- 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 1:00am with a 15% shift differential.
