Responsibilities

• Assist with the repair and refurbishment of gas turbine components.
• Perform inspection, preparation, and TIG welding tasks under supervision.
• Set up workstations and follow repair procedures.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment.
• Handle components according to safety and quality standards.
• Learn and apply welding and repair techniques.
• Read and interpret work instructions and basic drawings.
• Complete documentation to support traceability and quality control.
• Work collaboratively with experienced technicians.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development.

Requirements

• Foundational mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Interest in developing skills in welding, brazing, and turbine component repair.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and basic drawings.
• Commitment to safety practices and adherence to shop safety guidelines.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in welding or related trades is beneficial.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift components as required.
