Overview

Thalle is a heavy civil construction company with a focus on a diverse range of infrastructure projects. They are seeking an HDPE Pipe Fitter and Welder to join their team in Sanford, NC, emphasizing safety and offering a competitive salary package.

Responsibilities

• Install, lay out, align, and assemble HDPE pipe ranging from 8” to 22” diameter.
• Perform butt fusion and/or electrofusion welding of HDPE pipe.
• Safely operate and maintain HDPE pipe fusion machines and related equipment.
• Read and interpret project drawings and fusion logs.
• Conduct fusion welds that meet or exceed quality standards.
• Assist with trenching, bedding, pipe placement, tie-ins, and backfill operations.
• Follow all company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of fusion equipment.
• Work collaboratively with crew members and other trades.
• Be willing to perform general manual labor when not actively fitting or welding pipe.
• Conduct all work with integrity, professionalism, and commitment to quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience installing and welding HDPE pipe.
• Demonstrated experience fusing HDPE pipe in the 8”-22” size range.
• Must be certified in HDPE pipe fusion by a recognized manufacturer.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
